Sometimes a family's own resources run out, they do not have the strength the situation calls for, or they wish to hear an outside opinion on their situation. Seeking outside help for support in a tough situation or disagreement is a wise decision. Family mediation offers help that is available for all families and every family member.
According to the Marriage Act, disputes and legal matters arising in a family should primarily be settled in negotiations between the family members and decided by agreement.
Family mediation is available for any disagreement inside the family. It would be best to find support as early as possible, before the problems become too difficult to overcome. Couples contemplating divorce will also be offered family mediation, both before and after the possible break-up of the family. The use of family mediation is always recommended in divorce cases, especially if the couple has minor children.
