This brochure briefly explains the provisions on the conclusion and dissolution of marriage as well as those on the legal effects of marriage.

The information in the brochure if based on the Marriage Act. Amendments of the legislation have been followed until the end of August 2002.

The brochure is meant to be given to everyone intending to conclude marriage when he or she requests an examination of impediments to marriage.
