The Media and Communications Unit is responsible for the development and dissemination of information by the Ministry. The Unit also takes part in the development of the administrative sector of the Ministry of Justice and the internal information. The aim of the information service is to support the work of the Ministry and promote the goals of legal policy.

The Information Unit bears the main responsibility for the content and the development of the website of the Ministry of Justice (www.om.fi). It also drafts brochures on different issues of importance to the public with the aim of, among other things, facilitating their contacts with courts and justice administration offices.
