Other Meetings of Officials

During the Finnish Presidency, several meetings, two conferences and one seminar will be arranged in Finland under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice. The largest of these is the Informal Justice and Home Affairs Council in Tampere on 20-22 September 2006. The other meetings in Finland will be meetings between officials.

The largest meeting during the Finnish Presidency will be the Asem Summit between Asia and Europe to be arranged in Helsinki on 10-11 September 2006. Items on the agenda include reinforcing the rule of law, and combating organised crime, terrorism and corruption.
